home sweet home [Titans=main plot thread] « Thread Started on Jun 6, 2009, 9:51am »
At that very moment, nothing seemed better then the idea of being home. She had been away from the Tower for quite some time, months apparently, where none of the others had been able to find or contact her in anyway. The scariest part was that Destiny remembered none of this, absolutely petrified of the idea of wandering around without her conscious mind being aware of that fact. No one could explain it to her she was sure, so there was really no point in trying to talk to the others.
Not yet.
None of them knew that she was back, for she had not yet run into any of them when she had entered the Tower again. Assuming they were all on some mission or another, Destiny had changed into her normal, comfortable clothes and headed directly for the training area that was located near the heart of the Tower. Wandering the familiar corridors of the place she called home was just another thing that tugged at her memories, recalling happier times when she could wander along with Blaze or Starfire, laughing about their latest victory. But somehow those times seemed exactly as they were, distant memories that could no longer happen in their world. She couldn't explain it, but Destiny had a really bad feeling.
In an attempt to shake it off, she headed into the training area, throwing her hand towel onto the nearest bench before heading to the wooden dummy. Yes, normally she would see Robin hard at work on it, but since this room was vacant of anyone else as well, she figured that she may as well get her training in before he returned. It would figure that if she didn't, she might never get to work with the darn thing again.
Taking her stance, she inhaled for a moment before unleashing a fury of moves onto the dummy; ducking, stepping back, kicking and chopping onto the wooden arms. Each move was followed swiftly by another, and then another as she worked, no longer observing the time. But as her eyes darted off to the side, she pushed off from the ground and performed a flip that took her right to the punching bag that hung from the ceiling. Again she began to work, pieces of stray bang falling out of the ponytail she so often put her hair in while she worked. Bright blue eyes remained focused the entire time, no longer aware that someone else had joined her in the room.

Poetry in motion...
That was the only way Will could describe Destiny as she worked, blow after blow arcing perfectly, her eyes a bright sharp and vital blue, her golden honey hair pulled back, a few stray strands falling free as she worked, the mild grunts of effort sounding pleasant to his sharp ears as he watched her from the door, his arms crossed over his scarred semi-bare torso, a thin undershirt stretched tight over his lean yet densely ripped frame...
"Easy there, you might break a sweat..." he said softly in his lumpy mild baritone as he walked into the room, the door sliding shut behind him automatically as his long, blue gym pant covered legs, carried him into the room's middle, a small smile on his face as his eyes shifted to a bright and happy sky blue, giving off a hint of a glow as he paused a few feet from his all time major crush, Destiny Halliwell, AKA Oracle...
Ever since he had come here, she had been the person that had stood by him and been his friend, even when the others where wary or unsure of him, but soon he had proven his worth as a hero and had even helped the Titans save the world a few times, but then...
Everything kinda fell apart, Beast Boy left, and Raven was heart broken, Robin had gone off his rocker hunting down Slade, (which drove Starfire half nuts) and Oracle had vanished into thin air, leaving Blaze alone to defend Jump and it almost broke him...
But to see her standing there now, looking a beautiful as ever, he had to smile, his eyes dancing almost as he greeted her, his voice soft as a gentle rain on glass; "Hello Des... Welcome back..."

((I'm jumping in if that's ok)) These corridors... They reminded Robin of everything he had tried to forget. Other than the thump of rain, and the ambient noises. That had been all he heard for hours now, as he walked through the city. It had all changed. Everything was different now. He had seen more people cowering in fear here, than in any other place he had visited. They were afraid. Of what, he could not say, but he had an idea. And it was his fault. The whole tower seemed deserted. He was uneased by the emptiness of the place.
He looked in every corner as he walked, hoping to see someone. Anyone. But even as he hoped, he knew that he could not face them. It had been so long, and he saw what his abandonment had done to the city, and he didn't want to know what it had done to the team. He kept moving, just walking past, like a ghost. Finally, he heard something. It sounded like... training. He moved closer. It was definetely coming from the training room. He came to the door, and creaked it open. He ducked in, quick enough that he didn't think anyone had noticed. He looked through a hole, and saw Destiny. A titan. He had found someone in this graveyard like Tower. And Blaze, talking. He almost stepped out, but the fear in his system stopped him. This wouldn't have happened before, he knew that, but it had happened, and now he had to stop his own mind to take that step into the open.

She didn't trust. Pure and simple, everytime she did trust, it would be shattered like glass, with Robin and now with Beast Boy. Giving out her heart was tough enough, for it to come back into tiny pieces nearly drove her off the brink of the earth. Locking herself in her room, the new Titan leader had meditated and stayed there, not moving, not eating, and certainly not going near the others. Fighting, yea right, not for Raven who stayed locked within the safety and confines of her room, not wanting to let her emotions run ragged. "Azarath Metrion Zinthos." Raven spoke, over and over again in a monotone voice, keeping her heart break and betrayal at bay least she went all demonic again. And last time that happened, Robin had saved her, helped her. But he wasn't here any longer, eyes snapped open, her purple cloak splayed around her body, legs crossed lotus style, "nevermore." Raven growled, feeling the familiar itch of the demon blood running through her veins.
Upon her desk, the comm device blinked, the suspicious Raven eyed it warily before carefully getting to her feet, movement slow in case she got a head rush from standing up too quickly. Moving to her desk, Raven picked up the device with pale fingers, keeping a tight hold upon that device as if it were a life saver. Reaching down, Raven clipped the device to her belt, hidden by the cloak that covered her body, the hood over her face leaving her mouth and nose hidden, that way her eyes could hold pain, hurt and agony without people knowing, the secretive Titan wouldn't allow anyone else close to her fragile state. It happened too many times and she always paid the price. So with all the agonizing emotions spinning her mind, Raven headed to the one place she may feel a little bit better, a place holding better, more happy memories, and no, we aren't talking about Azarath. The training room had been a place of laughter, even Raven had gotten into a few rounds of training, although she preferred the outdoors.
Exiting her room, the door sliding shut behind her as she made her way down the empty and silent corridors, not a care passed through her mind, she was alone before, she was alone now. The half demon would always be alone, and until she reached the training room door, there was a flash, Raven glanced around, pausing in mid stride to see if she could see who that flash belonged too, but instead moved forward, sighing softly. Figuring that the room would be empty, she hadn't counted on Destiny and Blaze to be in there. Everyone was coming pain, except him. Pain griped her body, her stance becoming more rigid while the hood was a mask, hiding the utmost agony that swept across her features. Alone, in the dark, never to be loved, or find true happiness, for it all got taken away, did she not deserve what others did? "I didn't know anyone was here." The new leader spoke. "Guess I'll leave you two to catch up."

"Easy there, you might break a sweat..."
That simple sentence broke her concentration entirely, forcing Destiny to turn around in her stance, ready to fend off any attack that may have been coming in her direction. But when she recognized the voice, she nearly stumbled over, falling flat on the floor. It wasn't just anyone who had come to see what was going on, and it was no ordinary person who had walked into the training room to watch. No, it was Blaze, the only real family that she had, other than the rest of the Titans of course. Ever since his unexpected arrival on that fateful day, Destiny had trusted him with her entire heart, even against the better judgement of the rest of the team. And now that everything was said and done, there was no reason for her not to trust Blaze.
Her brother.
"Blaze..."
Shock, yes. Hesitation, no. His name tumbled from her lips so smoothly that she was almost unaware of it even being there. Without even thinking for another moment, Destiny launched herself forward until her arms were wrapped tightly around the neck of the angelic being known as William Talbot, holding him closely as she buried her head in his neck. God, she had missed him so much, thinking about it now seemed to cause her more pain than most of the injuries she had experienced in her career as a Titan.
And speaking of Titans, she could sense another presence in the room. Looking up slightly, she saw nothing but shadow, even though she knew that there was someone familiar there. There had to be. Her heart skipped a beat as her internal senses slowly recognized Robin on her mental radar, knowing that he was close by. Things had become a little more insane than normal when Robin went chasing after Slade, and between the rest of the drama that was going on and that, she wasn't sure what to make of it all. Raven had assumed leadership of the team, that much she knew, but her heart was still pounding.
Apparently, her feelings for Robin had not yet vanished.
"I missed you so much," she whispered to Blaze. "How are you? What's happened since...since I've been gone?"
No sooner had the question left her lips than another body entered the room, one that she knew all too well. Raven was her best friend, whether she liked the idea or not, and as the new leader of the Titans, had been given a vow of loyalty from the mutant girl. Nevertheless, she could sense that things were not all well with the Titans, or even with Raven at that moment.
Her bright blue eyes looked at the cloaked figure with concern. "Raven"

Well, perhaps he exagerated a bit when he said 'an hour'... what he meant was more like a fifteen minute head start. The Ex-H.I.V.E. Assassin made his way to the giant T out in the water. It had been relitivly easy getting to the small island, it was getting in that was the hardest part... and even that had been relativly simple. Activating the Electro-Magnetic boots, he was able to jump the distance up to the top of the Titan's Tower, activating the boots again for the landing, making it a soft and easy trip. Of course, if anyone had been looking out the window, all they would have seen was a quick bend pass before their eyes, even that would be irrecognizable. 'Stealth' was perhaps the handiest feature his suit provided other than the control of electricity and the soundless boots. a ventilation system from the top floor into the building was the sure-fire way to get in. Unfortunatly for the 'High Tech' security systems, Rogue was on the job. Taking out a dragonfly, he used the weapon to unhinge the metallic grid for easy passage. crawling inside, he remained in stealth mode. With a press of a button, he turned his lens' to night vision to see as he crawled through the ventilation. this was no easy thing. Every so often there was a trap... pressure sensers, lazer grids, even motion detecting cameras. Though, these were all easy to bypass. The cameras wouldn't be able to sense anything as he made his way past them. The pressure sensers posed more of a problem, but by using the sides, he was able to avoid touching the bottom, he bypassed the lazers by cutting the wires powering the last of the traps with his dragon fly. It was childs play, having been equipt for this type of mission and trained for it for years, he was an expert at infiltration and assassination. But now, now he had a different goal in mind other than killing Robin.
Reaching the end of the system, he used the dragonfly to unhinge this grid as he had the last. it looked like he ended up down in the basement. Rehinging the grid, it appeared as though nothing had happened. Even if someone was looking, the person wouldn't be able to see him in the dark paired with the Stealth Feature installed in his suit. Even electrical systems tracking movement and heat wouldn't be able to find him. Reaching up to the dial at the right side of his mask, he pressed the dial, changing the night vision to heat vision. The cold surroundings in the basement made this an ample vision to have. No one was there. Not an animal, not a soul... just him and the darkness. Just how he liked it. Clicking it again he changed to normal vision and walked up to the door leading into the tower.
Locked.
Taking the dragonfly he used earlier, he quickly picked the lock. Checking the door for further traps, he was unable to find any. Moving fast and quietly he opened the door went through and shut it behind him. He then made his way through the building, knowing that they were well aware of his presence. If they weren't, they wouldn't be worth the trouble anyway. To assume the worst, they knew his exact location. reaching into a pouch at his side, he pulled out several small black balls, two of them with red dots while the other two were plain black.
Now, if I were a titan, where would I be? Rogue thought to himself.
Knock, Knock, Knock
the sound ran through the whole tower. Apparently, someone was at the front door. Just his luck, a distraction. Unlike what he had heard about the Titans disbanding, it seemed Titans Tower was still in use, quite the contrary to what he had heard. _________ gloves [70] boots [60]

"Blaze..."
Just the was she said that made a chill run up and down his spine for a heartbeat, his eyes roaming her for a moment, taking in every detail before she ran at him arms out.
Will smiled at her, his lips moving into his now famous half grin as he greeted Destiny, his arms spreading as if to catch her as she raced into him, her grip strong and close as she buried her face in his neck and admitted how much she had missed him...
What he would give for her to start kissing his neck and nuzzling his jaw, tears of joy running down her face as he kissed her cheek and held her tight to his body, his fingers running through her hair and their lips ready to touch in glorious bliss...
But he could feel it as much as see or hear it in her thoughts...
She still saw him as a brother, and while that was certainly how their relationship started, he had moved on past that, and was slowly investing his whole heart into her romantically...
One would think that with her powers she could tell that he loved her more deeply than ever before, and he wanted to love her with all he was...
But maybe fate wasn't so kind to one who shouldn't even exist?
"Hello Mystic... I, mean Oracle..."
He blushed lightly at the rarely used nickname he had given her, and hugged her back, his cheek near hers as he held her up, his taller frame meant that she was now hanging a few inches off the ground in his embrace, but with his strength and her slender frame, she was light as a feather in his arms.
Geez he'd missed her so much it had hurt, deep down inside, so much that he almost let a tear slip out of his eye as he smiled and hugged her tightly but gently; it was no secret that the Angelic Lycan could crush cars with his bare hands, and as tough as Destiny was, she wasn't quite up to the levels of Starfire or Blaze, yet...
"I missed you too Des, more than words... You look great." he slowly let her down but kept an arm lightly around her middle as he looked down into her ocean blue eyes and almost drowned before he caught himself and smiled a little bit bigger;"I'm here livin' and breathing aren't I? I'm doing good, and not too much other than some random robot invasion, but you know me, I dealt with that quick like, cause I really hate bots..."
Then Blaze looked up at Raven and sniffed lightly as he smelled Robin and he let his smile look at Raven; "Hey Raven, it's been a while... Robin, I can smell you, get out here before I hunt you up..." As the former "last Titan standing" in Jump Blaze knew that he had earned some authority and his already respected status was raised, but he was still a tad feral at heart, and would always be the wild card of the group, extend Titans included, as in a fight, you never really knew what Blaze would try next...

Robin held back all his emotions as best he could as it all played out, and his whole body shuddered as he thought about what would happen next. Then, Blaze called him out. He sat there, unmoving, staring at the ground for a few seconds, before he cautiously stood up, and walked forward. He looked between the three others in the room. "... Hi." His mind was almost shut down, and his lips trembled as he spoke. He couldn't stop the little voice in his mind from yelling at him. This is your fault. If it wasn't for you, none of this would happen. He instinctively covered his chest with his coat as best he could. It was a habit he picked up, because for some reason he felt that the scar Slade had made there was a sign that all the world could see of his failure, and now his friends and comrades would see him in his real form as well. "It-It's been a while." He finally managed to utter out, before going silent.

No one seemed to mind the knocking on the door much, so being the only hospitible one in the tower, Rogue ended up using this guest as a guide of the tower. Even if the person was to cause Chaos, it would just mean an easier time of sneaking around the place. Opening the door, he saw a green boy standing outside, just walking away. The green fellow decidedly heard the door because he turned around as though expecting to get scolded. Shock seemed to run across his face as there was no one in the door way.
"H-hello?" He asked. "Anyone home?" _____________
Beast Boy couldn't believe his eyes. Had the door just opened by itself? Was this a creepy trick Raven was playing on him for leaving the Titans?
"Raven, not funny!" Beast Boy called into the dark room as he stepped in from the rain.
nothing...
It was strange. The place that was once so full of life, the place that had been home to numerous Titans... had been aparently abandoned since the past seven months he had been gone. Where were all those replacement Titans anyway?
"Ehhhh... Raven?" Beast Boy yelled, walking further into the tower, "Starfire? Cyborg? Anybody?" Still no response. A worried look came to the fourteen year old's face, "Duuuude, where is everyone?" he mumbled, unaware of a slight bend in the scenery walking some two yards behind him, shadowing him. Making his way up the Tower, he heard activity from some way off. Something striking another thing... in the training room! Gar felt a little relieved and afraid at the same time. Here he was, having gotten into a fight with Raven just before he left and leaving the Teen Titans... and he was trying to talk to the same people he had abandoned... yeah... reeeeaaal smart BB... As he neared, the voices started to sound familiar. The wolf-man who was able to use his abilities while in an animal form... the guy who had replaced him as the 'animal' of the group. What's his name? Flame? And another...
"It-It's been a while." a voice said awkwardly. Gar's eyes widened as he pinned the voice to a face in his mind. Taking the form of a cheetah, he tore through the rest of the tower to the training room, and jumping in mid-air, he grew eight long limbs and suction cups on each. the arms would attempt to wrap around his friend and topple them both over. Afterward he would transform back into his human form.
"ROBIN! YOU'RE ALIVE!" ______________
Robin? So, he was here after all. Rogue stood outside the door to the training room, the green boy's happy exclaimation carrying out to him. Not that it mattered... it just gave him a contact in the tower that wouldn't make his break-and-enter seem quite as awkward... though, he would probably scare the pants off most the people in the room. A smile formed behind the dragon-mask. Actually... he couldn't wait to see their reactions to a person appearing before their very eyes!

Adell yawned as he rolled out of bed he had been back a day already and he still felt abit jet lagged. Looking down at the alarm clock he jumped, he had slept so late, he stepped over the pile of cloths on the floor and pulled fresh cloths from the closet. Getting dressed he felt his stomach rumble, "Hope there still some food in this place." Walking out of his room making sure it locked behind him he made his way to the kitchen. Raiding the fridge proved to be successful there was some meat and bread in the pantry. Making himself a sandwich he walked out and stopped as he heard some noise coming from the training room he began to head in that direction.
Walking around the corner he noticed a cape flutter into the training room , it was black and yellow, making him think, who wears a black and yellow cape on this team? Robin.... as the thought almost finished he stopped as a green blur shot into the room and he heard some one yell. Walking to wards the room he stopped in the door way to see robin being hugged buy a transformed bestboy he laughed alittle at the sit and took another bite out of his sandwich.
